Two months ago I nearly died in a motorcycle accident.

...it sounds so dramatic when I say it like that.

I was riding along at nearly 70 miles per hour when I hit a badger that was crossing the highway. I don't remember anything about the accident, only waking up in the ICU, my body completely numb from all the pain killers they'd given me. my arm didn't work too well and I couldn't bend my left knee due to much of the skin and muscle getting ground off..

I'm only now getting back to normal life. My bones are healing up, the road rash is mostly gone, and I can use my left arm again.

When something like that happens, your perspective tends to change. I realized that I really need to get back to drawing. I have a graphic novel I want to write, and it's not writing itself. So for the first time in almost two years, I picked up my digital tablet and started storyboarding.

I'm not sure if it's realistic for me to produce a page per week, but I hope I can maintain that pace. I'll be returning to school this fall, so my schedule may be further interrupted. In the mean time, I'll throw some of my artwork up here in this space.

Grew up reading comics and playing video games. Now I prefer telling stories over reading them. I've written two novels and had a pretty long running web comic, but real life doesn't afford me a gob of time anymore to invest in my hobbies.

yo- came this way by "the forsaken" (no points for orginality there huh?). Was stoked to see your gallery link led to DA. Hope you continue the forsaken storyline- I really dug where it was headed.

indeed- caught the last 2 updates in fact! and you're right about it feeling slow because of all the dialogue. Still looking forward to more though.

I got here from "The Forsaken" which I just love. I'm wondering if it'll update ever again.

thanks for the interest, Darc. Sorry but for now, the Forsaken has been shelved and I have no forseeable plans to pick it back up again. I'm currenly working on a new graphic novel project that I can't share much about, but I'll definitely update my deviantart page and my personal blog ([link]) once I have any news on it.

I love your orc falconer! was wondering if I could add it as a background in one of my flash games? It would go nice, it is simply a hobby of mine but I'd want your permission as a lot of people will play the game and see your picture! I will give credit with a link to your profile if you say yes.

Thanks

Adam
